Information for Tourists

The ticket office is open during the same opening hours as the castle. In addition to tickets, you can buy themed souvenirs, memorabilia depicting the castle, and postcards. Payment is possible in cash or by bank transfer. The castle is only accessible with a guide. The last tour leaves half an hour before closing time.

The last tour always starts 30 minutes before the castle closes.

Tour Nr. IV – Short Tour is barrier-free (accessible by wheelchair), but we still recommend that you attempt it aided by an escort, due to the more challenging terrain of the medieval castle.

The interior of the castle is not suitable for cyclists on bicycles and scooters. Please leave your bicycles in the designated areas just outside of the castle. A first aid kit and repair toolkit are available at the ticket office. It is not possible at the moment to charge e-bikes on site.

On the castle premises there is a restaurant called “U Draka” with an indoor dining room, large outdoor terrace and outdoor grills. www.restauracekost.cz

Dogs are welcome at Kost Castle, both in the courtyard and during tours. Please keep them on a leash when moving around the castle grounds. Their entrance is free.
